In connection with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, Maritime & Underwater Security Consultants will deliver their "Company/Ship Security Officer" DNV approved training course, which is in accordance with the IMO Model course 3.19 (SSO) & 3.20 (CSO) and will be hosted as follows:

Who should attend:
- Company’s personnel / Ship’s Officers who have been or are likely to be appointed as Company Security Officers /Ship Security Officers under the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.
- Also the company’s personnel who are involved in the presentation and implementation
of the system, as well as the Ship Officers who are involved in the implementation of the system onboard.
Objectives:
The aim of this training programme is to provide a ship operating company manager with the knowledge and skills to carry out his/her responsibilities and duties as the designated Company Security Officer in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Code. Furthermore, to provide a ship's officer with the knowledge and skills to carry out his duties as a designated Ship Security Officer in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Code.In particular, upon completion of the course, the delegate will be able to:
- Understand the requirements for performance of a Ship Security Assessment for each of the ships under responsibility,
- Direct the conduct of Ship Security Assessments and on-scene surveys,
- Implement Ship Security Plans
- Initiate, direct and evaluate the performance of a Ship Security Plan for each of the ships under responsibility,
- Manage, monitor and optimise the ship's security systems and processes,
- Direct and motivate company personnel engaged in security-related activities.
